Properties: red or dark red amorphous powder, density 5.24 g/cm3, melting point 1565 &8451; (breakdown), insoluble in water. When it burns, it can release oxygen; and it can be reduced to iron by hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Escellent tinting strength and covering force. no oil perjmeability and water permeability.
Usage:
Used as an important industrial manufacturing magnetic materials in electronics, and telecommunications; also used in the manufacture of anti-rust primer in coatings industry. Rubber industries use it as the coloring agent in tire, belt and other rubber products. Together with the cement, it is applied in the production of artificial marble, terrazzo floor in construction industry; also used as the coloring agent and stuffing bulking agent in plastic, asbestos, leather, leather wipe light syrup.; also used in polishing of hardware equipment, optical instruments and jade materials; as catalysts and raw materials of other iron-containing products in chemical industry.
