JEA is an association with the main objective of the defense, conservation and recovery of the environment. Is for the improvement of the quality of environment and quality of life of the population and a defender of the urgent necessity to implement sustainable development in Angola. JEA has worked, essentially, in projects, linked to education and environmental awareness. It issues weekly two radio programmes about environment, a bi-semestral environmental newspaper and, collaborates monthly in television programmes, it realizes talks in schools, and also other practical activities as demonstration of paper re-cycling. JEA is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (ICUN) since 1992, and takes part in some environmental projects in the Southern Region of Africa and in Portugal. JEA's philosophy is to execute with priority all the activities in defense of education and environmental awareness, among students' and youths' fields and to contribute for adoption of policies by the country's directorate, which will allow sustainable development.
