SEA is part of the network of Global Organization of Students for Environmental Action. It was founded in September 1977 at the vision of an international charter for the Environment by Students (VOICES) Conference in Istanbul. SEA has a constitution which was adopted from VOICES charter which comprises 20 principles ranging from Education to Personal value, Equity to wealth, and from networking to fun. SEA is working on campus greening. This includes the introduction of recycled paper and energy saving garbage prevention, vegetation inventory and climate change.
