OSIENALA is a national NGO formed in order to create a forum for members of the local communities, both scientist and laymen, to address a range of environmental issues affecting Lake Victoria and its enviros. OSIENALA's strategies are: build the capacity of the local communities around Lake Victoria in order for them to become custodians of their own environment, promote sustainable livelihoods for the communities, lobby and advocate for sound environmental management policies.
