The establishment of KOEE in 1997 was a venture towards Agenda 21 - a global partnership to protect the integrity of the environment and development system. KOEE's mission is to improve and reorient environmental education towards sustainable development, through action learning. KOEE serves schools and communities in Kenya and the Eastern and Southern Africa region through activities in environmental education, public awareness and training for sustainable development.
