ITS is an organization which is committed to working with both urban and rural communities through achieving quality transport services. This is done through a variety of programmes which include training, advocacy, information sharing and research. ITS aims and objectives are: To provide tailor made training programmes that are relevant to the target groups, To advocate for conducive transport programmes that are pro-poor, To share information on transport services, To undertake capacity building programess in the transport sector, To engage and collaborate in research and implementation, To provide consultancy and advisory services in transport management. Scope of ITS activities includes: Rural transport issues, Impact assessment, Monitoring and evaluation of transport interventions, Water transport, Road safety publicity and promotion, Gender and mainstreaming in the transport sector, Information sharing and ad,vocacy... Dissemination of research findings.
